Windows Bug Bounty Program: Microsoft will pay up to $250,000 for finding bugs in Windows 10

Windows 10 Bug Bounty Program
Microsoft has announced a new round of Windows Bounty Program to make Windows 10 more secure, under which a bug finder will be given a reward of $ 250,000 if bug finder finds bugs in Microsoft's Hyper V virtualization software. The bug finder will get between $500 to $2,50,000.

Microsoft started the bug-finding program since 2012. Now it has been extended to Windows 10 too. According to a post posted on the company's website, the reward will be given on providing information about any important bug code execution, privilege or design flaws, which puts the customer's privacy and security at risk.

The company announced, "If a researcher reports a qualifying vulnerability already found internally by Microsoft, a payment will be made to the first finder at a maximum of 10 per cent of the highest amount they could've received,"

Other technology companies, such as Google, Facebook and Apple, reward the same for those who find bugs and flaws in their software.
